School's Out . . .

Did you hear all of our screams and cheers last Thursday? Don't worry, it was just my fellow teachers and I doing high fives and cheerleading moves up and down our hallway. School's Out for Summer! I have that song playing in my head. (I can totally play it on Guitar Hero!!) It is my new theme song! This year was a tough one and I am glad it is over. There were some high lights though. My room moms made me an awesome scrapbook that included pictures of each of my students. They all had to write something about me too! I teared up reading it - it was just precious. I should post some of those pages!

Since school is out, I decided to get back to work on my scrapbooks. My friend Barbie, who I went to college with, is expecting a baby girl this summer. Her shower is this Saturday and she will not tell us the name, so I made her this baby book. I hope she likes it! She is such a wonderful friend and deserves all of the happiness in the world. I cannot wait to meet her little one!

Oh, do you like the new background? Thanks to Amy Mikos - volunteer extrordinaire for helping me update my site. Check out her blog! Warning - you will want to get one of each!

Celebration!

Did you celebrate today? It is a holiday! It is National Scrapbooking Day! (I know, it is kind of sad I know that!) Really, it is a day where friends are supposed to get together and scrapbook. My family and I got together and celebrated my mom and Aunt Sharon's birthday. We ate pizza and played the Wii. (That thing is awesome!)

To celebrate today's holiday, I did a couple of layouts when I got home. Last week, I went through all of my old scrapbooking magazines and pulled out my favorite layouts and put them all in a binder. I can then go through and get ideas when I am stuck. Some people might call this copying, but we scrappers call it "scraplifting." It is a real word - just waiting to find a spot in the dictionary. It inspired me to do some pictures I have had since last summer and last winter. Enjoy your day! Scraplift when you have the time!
