Happy Birthday Vickie!

My friend Vickie had a very special birthday last weekend and we are going out to dinner to celebrate with her on Friday night. (I was lucky enough to have had Vickie's daughter in my class last year too!) Vickie has a huge heart and always helps everyone out so I wanted to give her something she could treasure. I bought this frame at Hobby Lobby. It holds six 4" by 6" pictures. Then I snagged a few pictures from her facebook page. I filled the other empty slots with paper, flowers, hearts, and chipboard letters. The bottom right corner holds a quote about families. Happy Birthday my friend!

Playing with Photoshop

I have had Photoshop Elements for a while now and always felt completely overwhelmed whenever I tried to use it. So I signed up for a class called Mouse, Paper, Scissors at http://www.jessicasprague.com/. The class has step by step video directions that I can actually follow. I made this card for a friend's wedding using a template from this class along with a matching envelope. The digital papers are some I bought a while ago and had no idea how to use. I guess I am now a hybrid scrapbooker. Who knew?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Spring Break

Spring Break has officiallly begun! This teacher is looking forward to a week of relaxing and scrapping.

To begin, I made this birthday card for my friend Tina. I used the adorable Ebony stamp from The Greeting Farm that I bought at Crop Girls. Then I colored her using my Prisma colored pencils. After I cut her out, I knew I wanted to do something different with the card, so I made an easel card and I used a large brad to hold it open. Tina lives life to the fullest so I added a sticker at the bottom to celebrate this. I wrote a little message inside and put it in her mailbox this morning for a fun surprise. Happy Birthday Tina!
