Happy Summer!!! I love summertime because it means I get to spend lots of time at home, but this heat SUCKS. Is it warm where you live? It's disgusting here. (I will stop complaining. For now.)
Whenever I make a project, people always say, "I would like to make that too. But I don't have enough money or enough time." Well, you can take those excuses to the curb with the Tuesday morning trash. This project took me less than 20 minutes and it cost less than $20.
Really. I'm not lying.
Here's how I did it.
First, I bought all of these items at Hobby Lobby. The items included an embroidery hoop, twine ribbon, and four flowers. (Three of one style and one bigger one.) I kind of wish I would have added some leaves, but I can always add that later. I also used a hot glue gun.
To start, I wrapped the hoop with the ribbon. I loosened the hoop and tightened the beginning of the ribbon in it. This way, I did not have to use any glue to get it started. Then I wrapped the whole hoop with the ribbon, leaving a little bit of space in between.
With my scissors, I snipped off the stems of the flowers. I cut them pretty close so the flowers would lay flat. Then I hot glued them onto the hoop. One of the red flowers was being a pain and took a lot of glue. Just be patient and hold up your wreath every once in a while, to make sure everything sticks.
After it dried, it was ready to hang on my front door. (I also bought the wreath hanger at Hobby Lobby.)
